Online communities work best when the community has a common interest. In this case it’s topped up with a huge amount of passion on the subject matter. I can’t think of a community that is more committed and passionate.
MyMunster.com is a well put together service developed around this passion and what better way of discussing and debating the performances, challenges and opportunities of the team. Top of the Magners league with couple of Heineken Cups on the shelf.
So in reviewing this great site, I have to recount some great Munster moments – but I’ll limit the review to this season (unfortunately both losses).
First is a game I will remember for a long time – Munster v All Blacks at the new Thomond Park. I think many people will remember the excitement and emotion of the occasion.
The second was an encounter of Ireland’s two European Cup winning provinces (ok, so it may seem like history to some of you, but you can’t take Ireland’s first European Cup winner’s tag away from us). I think this match was timely for both Munster and Ireland, in giving a bit of an incentive to many key Munster players.
